My name is Jenn and with the help of my boyfriend Rick, we run an Etsy shop called Suite 22 that offers a diverse selection of antiques, collectibles, unique, unusual, and whimsical oddities. As the store and our personal collections began to grow, we decided to open up The Book Vault, a second Etsy store, dedicated to antiquarian, vintage, and collectible books and paper ephemera.

Together, we spend countless hours on the road, hitting every estate sale, auction, and flea market along the way, in order to handpick vintage items for your personal collection. Whether to be used in jewerly projects, arts & crafts, steampunk projects or just home decor is up to you.

This is a place for us to tell the story of the interesting and unusual treasures we find, the characters we meet along the way and the beautiful sites we encounter upon our journey.

Enjoy.

Most pieces are available for sale through our Etsy stores. Other pieces are from our personal collections.

Church Key Sunday.
On top of selling vintage goodies on Etsy I tend bar as well. I have been tending bar for many years and love collecting items from the industry. As suspected, I have quite a large bottle opener collection. I plan on posting a pic of one every Sunday til I run out of openers to take pics of!
The term “Church Key” was coined many, many years ago when the shape and design of most openers resembled a large key like the kind used on church doors.
I found this strange little opener at an oddity shop in downtown Willoughby called the Cabinet of Curiosities.
